I created this rustic trunk coffee table from a vintage Navy cut shipping crate from Georgetown, PA. GW Gail and Ax was founded in 1855 and JF Brosius was a merchant that likely received this shipping crate in approximately 1910-1920.
This box didn't have a lid, so I created a reclaimed Spanish Cedar wood top. I added wooden blocks to the underside to keep the lid from sliding off. Inside of the box is stained brown and I added handmade, steel hairpin legs.
